I’m not going to recap the game. You saw it. Just know this, I was a mess for over 3 hours last night. I believed from the moment that the Spartans captured the Legends division of the B1G, that they…
Jimmie Johnson has a good life, mostly due to the fact that he is the best racer in all of NASCAR. Actually, that is exactly why is life is good, as he recently captured his 6th Sprint Cup Series Championship since 2006.
The champion driver was in Las Vegas recently, and unlike the saying of ‘what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas’, Johnson went ahead and documented just what went down on his Twitter/Instagram accounts. By now, you have heard that Jameis Winston, the redshirt freshman and starting quarterback of the #1 ranked Florida State Seminoles, will not faces charges for sexual assault. While the games that have been played on Thursday night in the NFL aren’t exactly the greatest match-ups(just look at the explosive Jacksonville vs Houston game tonight), it is a big win for the league, the owners, and the fans. Football is top dog of all sports in this country, and we cannot get enough of it. Of course, this is at the expense of the players having to recover and prepare themselves on short rest, because most played on the Sunday prior. With the NFL’s focus and mission on player safety, playing with such a quick turnaround seems couterproductive, especially to the players themselves.
Players have stated they are not fans of these games, it is now that they are becoming more vocal. Reggie Bush of the Detroit Lions, who is getting more work than he ever has since entering the league, voiced his displeasure (via CBS Detroit) and made a somewhat accurate comparison of what football is like on the body, and how difficult it is to play another game so quickly:
