Kansas Point Guard Tyshawn Taylor Suspended

Bill Self has suspended Tyshawn Taylor according to an announcement made by the athletic department on Monday. The junior point guard was crapping on bloated expectations to the tune of 8.8 points and 4.7 assists per game (I remember Billy Donovan was hot on this kid). With Taylor out freshman phenom Josh Shelby will likely see the majority of the minutes at the point guard spot. Selby was also the nation’s number one recruit according to Rivals.com, but has had his share of injury issues lately.

Not a huge blow for the Jayhawks, but with the Big 12 title on the line, and a potential #1 seed in the big dance hanging out there, it’s probably something they’d rather avoid…AMIRIGHT?

False Statement: Kansas is NIT bound because of this.

Yes they will. But he’ll be back for the tournament anyways so it doesn’t matter.

He’ll see some time at the 1 but he won’t get the majority of the minutes there. It will be a combo of Reed, Morningstar, and Johnson running point.

kansas will be better without taylor..too many turnovers..missed shots ..lots of skills..lets hope he turns pro and gets the hell out of kansas…at least he wasnt under the stands with dorothy…if they were she could see his toto….
