Brandon Lloyd chooses acting over football

New England Patriots v Buffalo BillsThe New England Patriots could really use the services of a halfway decent veteran wide receiver, and there aren’t many worth bringing in. Brandon Lloyd would be perfect, since he already knows the Pats offense. Only problem is that Lloyd is no longer pursuing an NFL career, as he has gone Hollywood.

Lloyd certainly isn’t big timing it, at least not yet. He is starring with Daniel Baldwin (one of the fat ones not named Alec), in a straight-to-video release of a zombie movie. Blockbuster! The title of the movie is “After Effect.”

What is Lloyd’s role in the film? A cop named Sgt. Lloyd. It appears the former 10-year NFL wide receiver is heading down the same path as Tony Danza, where he can’t even get a full name change for the character that he plays.

Here is the synopsis from IMDB.com:

When college students sign up for what seems a simple paid research study, they soon realize their lives are in danger. Unfortunately they’ve unknowingly volunteered their bodies as human collateral in an ongoing U.S. Military experiment.

Here is his AMAZING performance

Seriously, Bill, just name his price. Brady needs him.

    • Dave is trying to start a new trend of sarcasm on the internet. Hopefully this trend does not catch on. This is not why Al Gore invented the internet.
