The Notre Dame Fighting Irish had their most successful season in nearly 25 years, but it ended with a thud when they were simply outclassed in the BCS National Championship Game by the Alabama Crimson Tide.
However, one can’t just poo-poo Notre Dame’s undefeated regular season. That being said, nobody should walk around in T-shirts that claim it, because it would be misleading, and not winning the last big game makes it silly.
Remember all those undefeated Patriots T-shirts that ended up clothing those in need in third-world countries? Well, it seems the Irish gear didn’t all make it out of the country. Not only are they still on sale via Amazon for $4 (originally $19.95), they are also in the clearance aisle of a store in Tuscaloosa.
We have been trying to pinpoint if these were made to celebrate the regular season, or if they were printed in hopes of the Irish winning it all. We tend to believe the latter, and these are some of the leftovers.
We are well aware that there is a nasty joke about these being in Tuscaloosa waiting to happen, but we will leave that to you. . .
