Chris Walker fully intends to enter the NBA draft after one year with the Florida Gators, and he made that very apparent to the Panama City News-Herald. It has never really been a secret. Guys like Anthony Davis and Kyrie Irving aren’t sticking around for more than a year. In fact, if the NBA would just rid the world of their stupid age limit we wouldn’t have to see such shenanigans at the college level.
Walker told the paper:
“Coach (Billy Donovan) said where my skill level is, if that’s what I want I should go for it,” said Walker, who has committed to the Gators’ 2013 recruiting class. “What I keep hearing is that I’m a potential lottery pick. But I’m not satisfied.”
The kid is a stud recruit, who stands 6’9″ entering his senior season of high school. Many project him to be a versatile power forward at the next level.
