Robert Griffin III is trademarking his life

Robert Griffin III is going to do very well for himself, no matter what happens on the football field. The new starting QB for the Washington Redskins is acting quickly on his fame, and has already put the wheels in motion to profit off himself.

There are several reports that Griffin hired an attorney almost immediately after being drafted by the Skins and opened up an LLC called Thr3escompany. The website, Changlegal.com is reporting that he has already applied for trademarks that are involved with his name; RGIII, RG3, Robert Griffin III, and a term he used when he accepted the Heisman Trophy after his final season at Baylor, “unbelievably believable”.

It’s believed Griffin’s company will be selling everything imaginable. Shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, pants, shorts, footwear, hats and uniforms are speculated to be involved in the patent.

Does this mean that whenever we type his name we are going to have to add a ™ at the end? That is going to be really annoying with the HTML.

  1. Will they sell pink hats? Bid D would like to know.

Oh I miss the nonsense of cmfost

  2. I don’t really think a celebrity can trademark himself. Otherwise Saturday Night Live would cease to exist.

  3. Has to be said….this blog consistently has more interesting and thoughtful posts than a much larger three-letter blog some of us frequent

    • thanks, vez. but the majority of those out there rather hangout at places like that all day long and complain about what was posted instead of other topics.
