We’ve heard about the drug tests. The money. The everything. For whatever reason Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather will never meet in the ring. We just have to accept it. And if they ever do, they’ll both be in the late 30s, swinging at their doubles as the early signs of dementia and whatever other brain injury start to set in from the numerous blows to the head they’ve received over the years.
No one knows who is MORE responsible for this dream match up never coming to fruition. Both sides have blamed each other. Even with all that in mind, neither has hinted at retirement…until now. It seems Pacquiao is telling people that God told him to retire in a recent dream.
Taking into account Mayweather is probably going to be planning his first post pokey match soon, it just seems like another excuse for this fight not to go forward. Pacquiao isn’t retiring. And even if he does, it’s not going to be permanent. Pacquiao will continue to fight jobbers (see that? A rasslin term) and collect millions each time he does.
Excuses. Everyone has one. Even Manny.
