Philladelphia’s $25 million a year man, Ryan Howard is not having a very enjoyable offseason. After tearing his Achilles tendon to end the 2011 season, he’s trained hard to be able to come back early this season. Those plans may have now derailed, as he had a surgical procedure to remove an infection around the area of the tendon repair. He won’t be taking part of workouts or spring training games for the forseeable future. That’s something that you could call “bad” for the Phillies, especially with that contract he has. I know exactly how have a $20+million player on the IR most of they year can hurt a team (see Mauer, Joesph).

there is something lacking from Happy Hour
Anybody who flies should read this on just how shitty TSA is

TSA is horrible. privatize that shit
Thank you Robbie, Lewjack and Ryno. Ending Mackey career on a high note tonight.
kwsn, think they need 1 win in the B1G tourney to get in?
johnny, you see this?

nope, they’re in. Probably a 8 seed right now. If they beat the 11 and the 3 seed in the big ten tourney they’d move up to a 6 I think.
or if they win at iu and win one in the tourney, same result.
No I haven’t seen that
And in a sign that the world is ending: I just agreed with something Mike Milbury said
are you drunk? cause he usually is
No he just took the position that the guy who laid out Letang should be suspended at least 5 games
I got a bad feeling that this is going to be another what if year for the penguins
That’s one of the Seven Seals, I think.
red wings have had 16 of those over the last couple of decades
Happy Endings is hilarious
The important difference between Mauer and Howard is that Howard could still hit twice as many dingers on one leg as Mauer could.
