The Committee Screwed Us!

April 4, 2011
By

H/T EDSBS

Sports Illustrated is running a bracket tournament in their April 4 issue, and Chocolatology made the tourney as a 4 seed.   We take on at-large 13 seed Jezebel’s Cats vs Dogs.  I find this to be absolute crap.  I see that Esquire’s Sexiest Woman Alive tournament is a 2 seed.  Do you know that Taylor Swift made their bracket?  She looks like one of the Hanson Brothers.  Not those Hanson Brothers, these Hanson Brothers.

Anyway, this is pretty cool.  This is the first time we have been mentioned in a national print publication.  Most likely the last…

Pretty sure the guy who seeded the tournament deserves a MASSIVE bonus.

Free pub in a major magazine? Turns out that tournament about chocolate wasn’t such a bad idea.

If it was a beer instead of chocolate tourney we’d have been #1.

    I still like our chances.

Beer and video games are my choices for next year. Both would/will be very hard due to the amount of options we would have.

if we do beer next year, I will break out the TVF company card and buy everybody a round of everything that’s in the bracket. you know, for fairness purposes.

Video games would be incredibly hard to seed.

Very difficult. It would be so hard, but I think it would be fun. Beer would be even harder I think.

I completely agree with this. But Blue Moon would have to get a #1 seed.

Was wondering if you guys had caught this, had to give my SI a double take…the Score’s Tournament of Bad was a deserving #1 seed though, always cracks me up, they toe the line on some of the entrants (like #16 seed Notre Dame Student Safety which made it to the championship)

That tourney had some funny stuff in it. It was well done.

Who won the chocolatology bracket, Kit Kat or RPs?

  13. Dave K on April 4, 2011 at 1:14 pm

Reese’s is throttling Kit Kat. Just like most championship games.

    Why is running in italics?

  17. Dave K on April 4, 2011 at 2:10 pm

because they aren’t actually doing anything with it.
